our mission

Mriya Gallery is a contemporary art space where poetic resistance converges with the mission of providing a platform to young and emerging international talent- addressing contemporary concerns through artistic expression.

The name “Mriya”—meaning “dream” in Ukrainian—speaks to the gallery’s alignment with visionary thinking and the radical potential of creativity. Rooted in the belief that art can simultaneously comfort and disrupt, Mriya showcases work that engages deeply with themes of storytelling, transformation, and preservation in the face of destruction.

Our space opened its doors for the first time in September 2023- and since then, we have been committed to supporting emerging and underrepresented voices- initially in preserving and celebrating Ukrainian culture and artists in times of war. And while this mission will always be at the heart of who we are as a gallery, at present we have the goal of branching out into the global and local art discourse, becoming a space of cultural and artistic exchange and celebration.

With Ukrainian roots and a global outlook, Mriya Gallery is a multidisciplinary art space with a deeply ingrained devotion to having a positive social impact.

“I have a suspicion that the theory of relativity was always hidden in art, but Einstein with his genius has made it concrete with words and units.”
